The duck menu is simply brilliant. Hospitable and a great place

This is how you can spoil your birthday meal. When we made the reservation a week before we were asked if we wanted duck. I said yes, did not know that duck is not always available but only on reservation. Originally we wanted to come at 5 p.m. so that we could still sit outside, but we were told that the ducks would be available from 6 p.m. We were already in the Alm before 6 p.m., the first, so to speak, and were looking forward to the duck that didn't exist at 6 p.m. at 6:30 p.m. The shop kept getting full. People are seated at the table, the tables are so close together that the corona rules are not adhered to, there is no minimum distance to the neighboring table, you are on the cuddle-corona course, so to speak. At 6:45 p.m. the duck was served on metal plates. I was wondering why we got a whole duck, because my husband doesn't like duck, I was told I ordered a whole duck when ordering, which is not true, because I never said that we wanted 1 duck, only Duck, I thought it was internal logistics. So now this highly praised duck came at a price of 27 euros per half, i.e. 54 euros for 1 duck. In addition mini dumplings, actually a cheek to offer such mini dumplings to his guests who already pay a high price anyway. The red cabbage didn't taste good and it was too sour. The duck was pretty unseasoned, the skin, which I would have expected to be crispy, was flaky. I couldn't add salt that much that it would have been good. The duck sauce was tasteless. So I've eaten a lot better Whoever writes here that there is the best duck in this restaurant has never had a really good meal. And for that we simply drove 150 km. It would have been so easy if you had simply put the tables further apart so that in Corona times you would feel a bit safer instead of feeling the breathing of the guests at the neighboring tables 50 cm away in your neck, Too bad that was my birthday dinner.

Very nice economy, clean and cozy, wonderfully located. Service unfortunately a bit snappy, cake average.

An inn to our taste with a simple and traditional interior and menu. Unfortunately no longer an insider tip, which the full dining room in the evening proves. We have never eaten such a delicious duck anywhere. Operation and service are very friendly and helpful. This is our third time here and we have never been disappointed. Unfortunately, due to a lack of staff, Sunday is also a day of rest!

Very nice hike that children of all ages can do well. It is a round one that can be lengthened / shortened almost at will. There is always something to discover. Dreamlike

Idyllically located on the Weissach. Very well-kept inside and out. Friendly and attentive service. Typical Bavarian food and drinks at fair prices. Apart from the obligatory wasps nothing to complain about.

Please, please, please ... Just don't let more people come! This is my fairytale setting with my dream duck ... Nobody else is allowed to have my favorite waiter and the landlady! I just wish I could come more often ... but someone is always faster than me with the reservation ...! I WANT MY DUCK !!!

Famous for its ducks and with good reason. GOOD home cooking where many locals like to hang out. Not as much chie-chie as usual in the Tegernsee valley

Total failure. The location is fantastic. Unfortunately, the entire staff is rude. The toilet is locked with a chain. When asked (because we are not going through a restricted area) where the toilet was, a pampy answer came from an older woman, whether the sign was not clear. Long wait. The host blames everything on the current situation due to the pandemic. We cannot judge food, as no deviations from the menu (e.g. only a portion of roasted potatoes for the child) were possible. Very inflexible.

There is no better duck by the lake. Fantastic seat on the terrace or indoors. We have been coming regularly for 20 years.

The best place at Tegernsee where you can eat great ducks. Better to reserve before! When booking for duck food you have to show up, you cannot cancel at short notice. Also very good food otherwise a very sweet little super beautiful rustic alpine pasture. We will be back! It was great.

The best duck in town, you can arrive by car but I recommend to go walking! You will find a magic forest on your way.

Great authentic German/Bavarian restaurant! I would definitely recommend reserving a table. Great duck (has to be ordered ahead). Very cosy and interesting authentic ambience and decor. Also the staff is friendly and always up for a joke or two.
